Welcome to Mona Entrepreneurs // $10k Venmo Small Business Grant Due Monday

Dear family: You’re receiving this email because you are an entrepreneur within the Mona, DreamxAmerica, and/or Immigrant Love communities. We are so excited to continue our partnership with you by offering this newsletter that will share a range of opportunities for small businesses – addressing common issues we all face like funding, marketing, design, distribution, legal, accounting, and more. Without further ado, let’s begin!:

I. Funding Opportunity: Venmo Small Business Grant - $10k - Due by Monday Night

This is a grant app that is open to all registered small businesses in the U.S. (you just need to sign up for a Venmo business account). It’s definitely worth the time to apply, but the deadline is soon: by 8/7/23 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

II. Mona’s Small Business Grant Assistant

Exciting news: Mona is launching its Small Business Grant Assistant, starting with the Venmo grant described above (for those who subscribe by tomorrow at 5pm EST). For a monthly membership fee of $200, Mona’s team of award-winning authors will work with you to craft your story and ensure the highest possible likelihood of winning grants you are eligible for (minimum 1x application to an eligible grant opportunity each month). We are only partnering with a select number of entrepreneurs at the moment – feel free to apply now below if interested!:

III. Entrepreneur Spotlight

In each newsletter, we’ll feature an inspiring entrepreneur and a quote about their work – to keep us motivated and remembering why we started our businesses in the first place! Our first one:

Areli Barrera de Grodski
× Founder, Little Waves Coffee Roasters ×

“A lot of the history and literature that I learned about are deeply rooted in our menu and a lot of historical knowledge about Latin America and Indigenous people plays a role in how I look at the trading system. Being in the position of sourcing green coffee is not something that I take lightly. I’m always striving to uplifting and supporting Black, Indigenous women, and producers of color at origin.”

Thank you for being a part of the Mona community. Pass along to other small businesses so they can subscribe as well :)
